The pupils, parents, staff and Governors were involved in agreeing a set of aims for our school based on the four core purposes for all pupils to become ambitious capable learners; enterprising and creative contributors; ethically informed citizens and healthy confident individuals.

Cwmbach Community Primary School aims to provide a safe, secure and happy learning environment at the heart of the community. We will support, develop and inspire every child through an appropriate and challenging curriculum through our motto Happiness at the Heart of Learning.

At the root of our continuing improvements is the focus we place on teaching and learning. Our staff are highly qualified, dedicated and inspirational. Combining the best traditional approaches with innovative teaching to ensure lessons are dynamic and exciting. Lessons are planned to meet the needs and abilities of all pupils and provide a broad and balanced curriculum.

Through our aims our pupils will:

• Be enabled to steer their own learning, seek to challenge themselves and others and question the world around them.

• Apply integrity, respect and honesty in their everyday lives, making conscious choices about their behaviour and exploring how values and beliefs differ in communities around the World.

• Feel a sense of belonging and be fulfilled through positive experiences and relationships built on happiness and laughter.

• Use a positive energy to actively lead real life experiences to allow them to solve problems and have a purposeful impact on themselves and the community.

• Have teachers who will make creative use of the resources and the school facilities to provide inspiring, creative, challenging and fun learning experiences.
